CO-FOUNDERS STORY
Meet Christine & Erica
Two sufferers of UTIs, Christine and Erica were sick of chugging gallons of cranberry juice filled with sugar. Sick of going on and off of antibiotics. Sick of taking tablets daily. They knew there was a better way to manage such a common problem.
Viola, CRANEL was born.
Keeping science at the core of everything they do, the two developed an formula that abides by the American Urological Association recommendation for cranberries as a prophylaxis for UTIs, and is in line with the World Health Organization’s recommendation.

Did you know?
Over 25% of women in the US are resistant to antibiotics due to UTIs. Antibiotic overuse in the US is so bad that President Obama listed it as a biothreat to the US. Further, female patients received 67% more antibiotic prescriptions than men. This is a topic Christine and Erica are passionate about. They are both advisory counsel members of the National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education and are determined to help lower antibiotic usage in women.
Why are most UTI products owned by men?

Over 90% of UTI products & antibiotic distribution firms are owned and operated by men! While UTIs do impact men, the overwhelming majority who suffer from UTIs are women—yet women don’t run companies that impact their health! What’s crazier is that women weren’t included in clinical trials until 1993.
THAT WAS CRAZY TO CHRISTINE AND ERICA! Women should be making products for women’s health.
CRANEL is a women-founded, owned, and operated business!

We’re so happy you’re here and appreciate your support!
xoxo,
Christine and Erica
