FAQ
CRANEL
We recommend drinking one shot per week.
Our shots are packed with 3,000 cranberries and are equivalent to taking 10 tablets or drinking 60 litres of standard cranberry drinks. Doctors recommend at least 36mg of the active ingredient, PACs, within cranberries to flush out bacteria, and each CRANEL shot has 500mg of PACs.
An unopened bottle of CRANEL will last for 6 months. Please refer to the date on the bottle.
Once you receive your CRANEL in the mail make sure you pop it in the fridge! Drink CRANEL after eating something, as it is acidic and may irritate an empty stomach. You can enjoy CRANEL as a shot, over ice, diluted with water, a smoothie, or in a green juice!
Yes, you can drink one CRANEL per day if needed. The good news is, you can’t overdose on cranberries!
Our CRANEL shots do not have any added sugars, flavourings, and colourings, they are bio-active, non-GMO, and vegan. While we believe they should be safe, you should consult your health care professional if you have any concerns or existing conditions.
Auto-Renew is automatic delivery of CRANEL direct to your door every 4 weeks so that you never forget to order it.
This service has a 3 month minimum commitment. If you have not tried CRANEL, we recommend ordering a single Four Pack Attack before you make the 3 month commitment.
When we extract the entire cranberry (skins, seeds, and juice), we are targeting the phytochemicals such as phenolics and of course PACs (the active ingredient that prevents UTIs).
The sugars are separated from the matrix and removed. Little to no sugar = little to no calories!
UTIs are caused by a wide range of pathogens (bacteria), however most commonly Escherichia coli (E. Coli), attaching to the bladder lining.
A UTI typically starts with bacteria contaminating the tissue surrounding the urethra — from the gut. The contamination begins to colonise in the urethra and subsequently migrates to the bladder, thus compromising it and causing an infection.
Cranberries contain the highest concentration of PACs which is the active ingredient that helps prevent UTIs. Most UTIs are caused when E. Coli attaches itself to the bladder lining and cranberries help flush this out.
In clinical trials with CRANEL cranberries, there was 9x lower detection of E. Coli in human urine. We love cranberries as a natural prevention for UTIs, given that one in five women are resistant to antibiotics.
Plus an added bonus, early studies indicate that cranberry can make your body more susceptible to antibiotic affects and cranberry helps your body absorb and metabolise antibiotics faster. In one study, when treated with antibiotics & cranberry, the bacteria was unable to develop a resistance. This was for two reasons - first it made the cell more permeable to the antibiotic and second it interferes with the mechanism that bacteria uses to pump out the antibiotic.
The normal vagina has a pH of 3.5 to 4.5. There are a couple of things that can throw it off. Our menstrual blood has a 7.4 pH. This is why after your period, you might notice some not-so-kosher symptoms which include white discharge, itching downtown, and a fishy odour.
Other common things that can throw off your vaginal pH include (1) semen: when you are about to have sex, your body prepares by making your vagina a pleasant place for semen. Semen has a pH of 7.1 to 8. After sex, this can lead to a high pH in the vagina leading to bacterial growth. Another reason to pee immediately after sex. (2) Hormones: pregnancy, menopause and birth control can all affect your pH. This makes downtown more susceptible to urinary tract infections.
Cranberries reduce the amount of calcium in your urine and decrease the pH of the urine and therefore vagina.
Yes! Cranberries have more antioxidants than most fruits and veggies.
Cranberries are a natural source of flavonoids (an antioxidant) and salicylic acid (a beta hydroxy acid or BHA). Each of these ingredients has astringent and antiseptic properties that reduce sebum, clear pores and minimise the look of pimples. But don't just believe us, Cassandra Bankson from Skin Science states, "Cranberries have trace minerals of potassium, manganese, and anti-inflammatory properties, which help prevent collagen breakdown and can blunt breakouts for those prone to adult acne."
Vitamin C and B3 found in cranberries contribute to improving the appearance of problem skin by brightening the look of scars and dark marks, and fine lines and wrinkles.
Please speak to your medical profession before consuming CRANEL if you are taking Warfarin, Coumadin, or anything similar.
